What’s better than a hot dog, a large soda and a baseball game on a warm July evening? Maybe a free T-shirt to go along with it. This summer, both the Nationals and the Orioles will be giving away everything from bucket hats to replica World Series rings to fans in attendance. Here’s a rundown of the best giveaways going on at Nationals Park and Camden Yards this summer.
We’ll start with the Nationals, then move up the Beltway for the O’s.
Nationals Park
April 20: Nationals replica World Series win ring
To commemorate the fifth anniversary of the 2019 World Series team, the Nationals will give away replica rings to the first 20,000 fans at the Saturday afternoon game. The Nationals are taking on the Houston Astros (the team they defeated to become world champions) and will be commemorating the 2019 team all weekend. They’ll have postgame fireworks on April 19, and a giveaway focused on fans age 12 and under is set for the April 21 game.
May 4: Kyle Finnegan ‘Star Wars’ bobblehead
Two weekends later, the Nationals will be celebrating “Star Wars” with Friday night fireworks, a beanie giveaway on May 5, and the crown jewel of the weekend: a Kyle Finnegan X-wing pilot bobblehead, given to the first 15,000 fans through the gates on May 4. Finnegan, a right-handed relief pitcher who has been with the Nationals since the 2019-2020 offseason, will be featured. He’ll be decked out in the iconic outfit of a Rebel Alliance pilot. The Nationals will be hosting the Toronto Blue Jays all “Star Wars” weekend.
June 14: Mike Rizzo bobblehead
A Friday night game against the division rival Miami Marlins will be the backdrop for another giveaway centered on the 2019 World Series team. This time, it’s a bobblehead in the likeness of Mike Rizzo, the general manager behind the World Series run. Rizzo will be wearing a hoodie, sunglasses and backward baseball cap — his look from the victory parade.
June 16 and Sept. 1: A Keibert Ruiz kids’ double play
This is two giveaways in one, but they both center on Nationals starting catcher Keibert Ruiz. First, on June 16, the Nationals will be giving away a Kei “Bear” Ruiz plush to the first 8,000 fans age 12 and under. Then on Sept. 1, the team will give away a Ruiz Catching Gear T-shirt, again to the first 8,000 kids 12 and under. Both giveaways will be during Sunday afternoon games. In the first game, the Nationals will take on the Marlins; in the second, they will play the Chicago Cubs.
Sept. 15: 1924 championship pennant
The 2019 team members are not the only champions being honored with giveaways this summer. To mark the centennial anniversary of the 1924 Washington Senators World Series win, the Nationals will hand out commemorative pennants to fans coming to watch the team host the Marlins on Sept. 15. Fans attending the previous night’s game will be eligible for a yet-unannounced giveaway, also centered on the historic Senators team.

In late April, the Orioles will hand out 20,000 bobbleheads that highlight their manager, Brandon Hyde. He led the O’s to 101 wins during their 2023 campaign, good enough for the best record in the American League. The team will be hosting the Oakland Athletics (the team with the worst record in the American League in 2023) for a Saturday afternoon matchup.
May 10: Mr. Splash bobblehead
The Baltimore Orioles will host the Arizona Diamondbacks, last year’s National League champions, for a Friday night interleague showdown. If that’s not enough to get out to the ballpark, the first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive Mr. Splash bobbleheads. Mr. Splash helps drench the left-field seats every time the O’s get an extra-base hit. He’s something of a fan favorite, and it was only a matter of time before he got a bobblehead.
May 17: Orioles 70th anniversary replica jersey
Marking the 70th anniversary of the team moving from St. Louis to Baltimore, the Orioles will be giving away replica jerseys. As Baltimore hosts the Seattle Mariners (a recent rival), the O’s will honor their seven-decade history in Maryland. The jersey will mimic the home jersey of the 1954 team and feature “Orioles” written across the chest in script.
June 27: Orioles Pride jersey
The Orioles will give away Pride jerseys when they take on last year’s World Series-winning Texas Rangers. In this Thursday night giveaway, the first 10,000 fans age 15 and older will snag the shirt. The design is reminiscent of the team’s black City Connect jersey, with added pops of color across the chest, as well as piping along the side and on the left shoulder. Fans interested in more action against the Rangers can show up that Saturday for a City Connect-themed Hawaiian shirt.
July 26: City Connect reversible floppy hat
The Orioles will be giving away a reversible “bucket” hat to 20,000 fans age 21 and up (the hat is presented by Coors Light). On one side will be a solid black hat with a script B; the other will feature a City Connect-style design and the word “Baltimore” written in block letters. The hat will provide great sun protection for a potential end-of-summer run for the team that calls Camden Yards home. Fans can also stay late after the Friday night game for fireworks.
