Stephanie started working being just 13 years old modeling for WWF mechandise catalogs. After obtaining her degree, she started working at WWF as Account Executive in New York. She even participated in the wrestling itself, too. Stephanie appeared in a few wrestling storylines as a villain character, from 1999. She then became the general manage of SmackDown in 2002 and this time played a fan favourite. Then once again Stephanie played a bad girl in 2005.

Stephanie McMahon has filled many roles in WWF including receptionist, ring performer, and creative designer. In 2002, she got the job of directive of creative writing there and later on, in 2006 Stephanie was promoted to Senior Vice President of Creative Writing. She was promoted again in 2007 to Executive Vice President of Creative Writing. During her time in this position, a WWE app was launched and she entered a partnership with USO, Tout and Yahoo.
