A prostitute at one of the biggest legally operated love ranches in Nevada has lifted the lid on what it’s really like to work there.
Morrigan, 28, has been a sex worker at Sheri’s Ranch for more than a year and started her job while studying at law school.
Nevada is the only state in the US where prostitution is legal, although brothels must operate under strict regulations.
This means customers flock to ranches, such as Sheri’s, knowing they can indulge in their fantasies without breaking the law.
Sheri’s styles itself as a resort with luxury rooms and leisure facilities and also boasts a popular sports bar.
But far from the ranch being packed with older, single men, Morrigan, who once had 35 customers in a single week, says their clients aren’t always what you would expect and sometimes they even include couples.
Morrigan, 28, a mom of one, told the Sun Online: “My first-ever customers were a married couple from Canada, who really wanted to try a threesome. They were worried about finding another girl, so they came to Sheri’s so they could do that.”
“It’s not unusual to get women coming here too with their husbands to spice up their relationships.”
“I have also had customers who want to lose their virginity, while some just come for the girlfriend experience and we just sit with them and talk and watch movies.”
“I’d say the most popular service is the half and half, where they get oral sex as well as full sex as well as the girlfriend experience.”
Morrigan, originally from Iowa, landed her job after applying online and then impressing the madam, Dena.
Workers go to Sheri’s Ranch for a minimum of one week or a maximum of three weeks and usually work 12-hour shifts per day, but can be on call 24/7 in case a customer requests them.
When they show up for work at the start of their stint, they have to undergo a strict health check and also have blood taken to be tested.
There are usually 25 girls working at one time and the ranch has 25 private rooms for them to take clients to.
Once there, there are several ways men can meet girls. They can look at the website before their visit and make an appointment with a girl they would like to see.
Another way is by going to the ranch and having a drink in the sports bar, where the workers look for potential business.
Morrigan explained: “In the bar, we are only allowed to talk to the men for 10 minutes.”
“After that they either come with us to negotiate a price or we have to leave him be. If another girl is talking to a man, we aren’t allowed to make eye contact, we have to leave them alone.”
Alternatively, if a customer is unsure of which girl to pick, he can ask the ranch hostess to get a lineup of girls together.
This sees them line up one by one and introduce themselves to him before he decides whom he would like to negotiate with.
But Morrigan insists there’s never any jealousy when girls don’t get picked.
She said: “We all know that it’s business and that different men are looking for different things. All of the girls I work with are very, very sweet and we all look out for each other.”
But every girl at the ranch has her limits and there are certain things they will individually refuse to do.
For Morrigan, “I don’t do kissing. I don’t want to exchange saliva.”

Another thing strictly under wraps at Sheri’s is money, which Morrigan says is always “hush-hush.”
She explained: “We never talk about what happens in negotiations and we all have our own pricing. We always keep that sort of thing private.”
When she is not working, Morrigan goes back to her home state of Iowa and only travels to Nevada for work.
She recently became a licensed attorney after passing the bar exam.
But she doesn’t believe her current job will hold her back from a future career in law and is proud of it.
She said: “I had been researching legal prostitution as part of my research paper, so I knew a lot about it. I had just got out of a relationship, so I decided to apply for the job.
“I have always believed in decriminalizing sex work and to that extent, I decided to give it a go myself.”
“And so far it has been absolutely fantastic and I enjoy it very much.”
